“I am delighted that NACCS has selected me for the 2021/22 Lifetime Achievement Award:  There is no greater honour than having the approval of your peers, and I am very grateful NACCS for this. I am also very aware that I represent a number of clinical and scientific colleagues who have contributed to the body of work that has led to this award, and this is also a recognition of their efforts, and a chance for me to say thank you to all of them.”

Lifetime Achievement Awardee 2024

“I was both surprised and delighted to be chosen by NACCS for the 2023/24 Lifetime Achievement Award. I have been lucky enough to have had a successful career in Neuroanaesthesia and I have enjoyed almost every minute of it. However, none of this would have been possible without the wonderful neuroanaesthetic and critical care community both in the UK and overseas and the support of my clinical colleagues. It is important to remember that successful outcomes for our patients and in academic pursuits are the result of team efforts and collaboration. I am indebted to those who have helped and supported me along the way.”
