Consultant Neuroanaesthetist, Salford Royal Hospital

I qualified from Imperial College in 1995; I undertook my anaesthetic training at the Imperial School of Anaesthesia followed by a Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queens Square.

I was appointed to my present position as Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at Salford Royal in 2007. My main clinical interests are dexmedetomidine sedation, anaesthesia for awake brain & skull base surgery. I am the training lead for the Neuroanaesthesia module in the deanery, and equipment leads for theatres at Salford. I recently joined the NACCS council as a co-opted member in charge of industry liaison.
