Consultant Neuroanaesthetist, Salford Royal Hospital
I have been a NACCS Council Member since 2021 and presently serve as the Honorary Treasurer.
I qualified from Imperial College in 1995 after which I completed my Anaesthesia training on the North (West) London rotation. This was followed by a Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery.
I have been a Consultant Neuroanaesthetist at Salford Royal since 2007. I was a member of the Local Organising Committee of the 50th Anniversary ASM that was held in Manchester in 2015; my main clinical interests are Dexmedetomidine sedation, anaesthesia for awake craniotomy and skull base surgery. I am the training lead for Neuroanaesthesia in my deanery and organise the specialist Study Days within the region. I am also the lead Consultant for Anaesthesia equipment within my Trust.
