Low CSF Pressure Headache

Wednesday 6th May – 15:30-17:00
Thursday 7th May – 16:00-17:30

A multidisciplinary discussion about the practical management of low pressure headaches with an emphasis on setting up a service. This workshop will review the consensus guidelines and the condition itself. Then case selection, site of injection, volume of EBP, post procedure care and follow-up, as well as information given to the patient. We will cover the investigation of low-pressure headache, including some of the second line, more invasive investigations such as dynamic CT myelograms, as well as possible minimally invasive treatments for elements such as CSF-venous fistulae or tissue sealant injections.

Finally, we will discuss the neurosurgical interventions to surgically close leaks and the treatment of associated conditions such as subdural haematomas and cystic hygromas.
